Krampitz large fuel depot – functionality

How does the Krampitz large fuel depot function? How is the fuel distributed in the depot?

The heart of the depot is the administrator. The input-output unit of the fuel depot. The depot is filled here. And: The vehicles are tanked on the other side. Whereas the fuel is stored in the workers. 60,000 (sixty thousand) liters per container. The following fuel distribution routes are possible:

  1. Filling the worker
  2. Fueling from the workers
  3. Filling the administrator tank
  4. Fueling from the administrator tank

This is how each distribution route functions:

1. Filling the worker

The administrator carries out the filling of the worker container. We will fade out all other containers for a moment in order to make the fuel flow clear. Different pipework systems can be found in the administrator – for the filling and tanking process. Now let us focus on the filling process and also fade out all other components which are not involved. The fuel is suctioned out of the tanker through the filling port to the filling pipe system, then pressed through the supply pump into the distributing main to the worker containers. The fuel then flows into the tanks through the standpipes in the workers. The workers which are to be filled can be determined by the central control in the administrator. Here in our example, we are filling all workers and so reach a total capacity of 600,000 (six hundred thousand)  liters. The bafflers here, are by the way custom made features for earthquake prone regions. That is how the fuel depot is filled. Now let us look at how fueling from the workers functions.

2. Fueling from the workers

First in order to fuel, the central control is operated to choose which worker is to be tapped from. When the fueling process starts, the fuel flows through the barrel sampler via the second distributing main back in the administrator. Now in the tank circulation – again we will fade out all other elements. The fuel is directed to the fuel filter via the supply pump. The fuel is cleaned here and then flows further on the rear side of the administrator. To the output unit where the vehicles are tanked.

3. Filling the administrator tank

Fueling is also possible via the internal 20,000 (twenty thousand) liter tank in the administrator. And so the depot has a further tank to its disposal. This enables the speedy tanking of vehicles. To fill the tank, the fuel flows from the tanker via the connecting coupler into the filling pipe system. The fuel is now pumped via the supply pump, not into the workers but into the administratortank.

4. Fueling from the administrator tank

Fueling from the administrator tank again takes place via the tank circulation. The fuel is directed out of the administrator tank via the supply pump to the filter, is cleaned and then flows further on the rear side of the administrator. To the output unit.

Reliable fuel supply. Made in Germany. Depot fuel cluster from Krampitz. Cubically good.
