Nowadays, high demands are placed on industrial tanks. The containers must be functional, versatile and robust while at the same time guaranteeing the highest level of safety. For this reason, more and more companies are opting for innovative container solutions Krampitz Tanksystem GmbH. The Lower Saxony family company is a globally operating, highly specialized developer and manufacturer of transport and storage tank systems for all types of fuels and lubricants. Krampitz containers are characterized by their well-thought-out design and have all the necessary national and international approvals. The company has recently once again impressively demonstrated its innovative spirit: it presented the first solar-powered mobile filling station at this year's Automechanisa.
Friedemann Krampitz founded his company in 1998 in Dahlenburg in the Lüneburg district with the aim of building modular container systems for power plants, generator systems, mining, etc. From 1999 onwards, the product range was gradually expanded to include storage and transport tanks made of high-quality steel for use even under extreme conditions. These are mainly used to store and transport industrial fuels and lubricants, such as gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, oil, heating oil, ethanol and bioethanol as well as rapeseed and other vegetable oils. A characteristic feature of the Krampitz tanks is their patented cubic design. Compared to conventional round tanks, this ensures optimal use of space and reduces transport costs. Furthermore, the rectangular containers can be better integrated into existing systems and infrastructure. It is also possible to install petrol pumps, generators, filter systems and electrical controls. "Our tank and container systems are certified in accordance with all national and international regulations. No other company in our industry has more product certifications", reports head of research and development Friedemann Krampitz in an interview with the editorial team. “There are currently over 22.000 Krampitz tank units in operation worldwide, and around 3.000 new systems are added every year.”
The extensive range of tank systems for use in power plants, mechanical and engine construction and mining leaves nothing to be desired. “With our product brands 'BASIS', 'MINOTAUR', 'OPTIMAL' and 'EQUIPMENT', we cover the entire range of industrial tanks with volumes between 100 and one million liters.”, Friedemann Krampitz specifies the market leader's range. “Whether single-walled, double-walled and/or thermally insulated – our daily, storage and transport tanks as well as filling stations stand for quality, functionality and safety and enjoy the trust of demanding customers all over the world.” These include under
including Alstom, Esso, FG Wilson, MTU, Jenbacher, MWM, Siemens, Shell, Zeppelin-Caterpillar, AKO, Statoil, Finning, Frerk Aggregatebau, SAB Hamburg and Wärtsilä. “We serve around 250 active customers”, said our interlocutor. “30 percent of our products go to foreign companies, mainly in the Arab region as well as in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia, Latin America, Scandinavia, Austria, Hungary and the Balkan countries.” Krampitz tanks and containers are designed for the specific climatic conditions in the respective countries. The comprehensive approval program guarantees the customer that all products always correspond to the latest state of the art.
The tanks and containers realized by Krampitz Tanksystem GmbH using the most modern design, development and production technologies represent a worthwhile investment in the future. All systems are manufactured to a high quality, meet or exceed all safety requirements, are literally child's play to operate and, thanks to their cubic shape, are extremely resilient Construction takes up less space. The transport and storage tanks and filling stations also offer numerous advantages during installation. For example, complete systems are delivered in individual, pre-assembled assemblies that are assembled on site within a short time using precisely defined interfaces. The use of only robust materials guarantees a long service life. The pricing is also convincing: Due to the modular principle with standardized equipment, Krampitz Tanksystem GmbH can offer its quality products at a much lower price than many competitors. Friedemann Krampitz: “We always have around 1.000 different products in stock, so we can respond quickly to customer inquiries at any time.”
Krampitz Tanksystem GmbH has been setting the standards in its industry for many years. The company caused quite a stir at Automechanisa 2012 with its latest innovation, a solar-powered mobile filling station. This is a self-sufficient tank system for supplying fuel to vehicles, machines, boats and much more, which has an output of 2 x 3,8 kW and does not require a mains connection. The entire gas station unit can be erected anywhere within 6,5 hours, whereas the construction time for conventional systems is often up to three months. “As part of this year’s Automechanika, we have already booked 15 pre-orders for our new system, which can also be used to convert existing gas stations.”, emphasizes Friedemann Krampitz. “Now we are looking for additional distributors all over the world.” The company has many ambitious plans for the future. In two to three years, they want to issue international licenses for their own product solutions. “We will also continually expand our offering with new innovations and drive global expansion.”, concludes Friedemann Krampitz. “We expect further growth particularly in the so-called BRIC countries, i.e. Brazil, Russia, India and China.”
